CHAIR  DUNLEAVY announced  the consideration  of HB  234."An Act                                                               
extending the  termination date of  the Regulatory  Commission of                                                               
Alaska;  and  providing for  an  effective  date." This  was  the

REPRESENTATIVE  MIKE HAWKER,  Alaska  State Legislature,  Juneau,                                                               
Alaska, sponsor  of HB 234,  explained that the bill  extends the                                                               
termination  date of  the Regulatory  Commission of  Alaska (RCA)                                                               
until June 30, 2022. He noted  that during the last meeting there                                                               
was extensive discussion on the  agency and the legislative audit                                                               
that recommended the eight year extension.                                                                                      
                                                                                                                                
CHAIR  DUNLEAVY noted  that  T.W.  Patch with  the  RCA and  Kris                                                               
Curtis with legislative audit were available for questions.
